Natalia Barrionuevo
(b. 1975) is a business administration student
at Montgomery College. She received her law degree and specialization
in economic law form the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina,
in 2000. Currently, she is also an intern at Paley Rothman law firm
within the business and commercial transactions area of practice.
Ms. Barrionuevo often participates in seminars and meetings on domestic
and international business and legal issues.

Blanca
Belloso (b. 1984) born in Washington D.C.. Her family
moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1999. She graduated with honors
from Gaithersburg High School and from the Academy of Finance at
her school. She is attending Montgomery College on a Board of Trustees
Scholarship. She manages to be a leader and member of clubs and
organizations at MC. Two positions that she is proud of holding
is co-president of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and vice chair
of Student Affairs in the Student Senate. Her hobbies of interest
are singing and painting. She hopes to transfer to the Robert H.
Smith School of Business at University of Maryland and possibly
complete a bachelor's degree in International Marketing. She thanks
the Macklin institute for giving her the opportunity to explore
the business field at a higher level and for getting her closer
to achieving her goals. She also sends a special thanks to her parents
for being the best role models and friends in her life.

Tetee
Bropleh (b.1979) in Monrovia, Liberia. She is the fourth
of seven children and began schooling at age four. Due to the civil
war in her country, (which caused schools to remain closed for long
periods of times), Tetee graduated from high school in 1999 and
a year later (January 2001) came to the United States to attend
College. In high school, she took accounting classes as an elective
and fell in love with the accounting profession. Ms Bropleh decided
to follow that path. Previously she had wanted to become a lawyer.
Presently, Tetee is a sophomore at Montgomery College and studying
business. She intends to continue her education and earn a postgraduate
degree in business. Her aim is to ultimately return to Liberia to
live and work, for she believes it is the best as her country is
a victim of brain drain and needs all its human wealth.

Silvia
Dontcheva (b 1984) was born in the capital of Bulgaria
- Sofia. She moved to the United States in 1996 with her immediate
family and started a brand new life. Silvia happily graduated from
Watkins Mill High School with honors. She is currently enrolled
in Montgomery College with a full scholarship from the Board of
Trustees. Silvia is a Macklin Business Institute Scholar as well
as a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She is planning to transfer to a
4 year university and pursue a masters degree in Marketing.
Ms. Dontcheva currently works in an international marketing company
in Gaithersburg, MD. Her ultimate goal is to have her own business.
In her spare time, she enjoys singing, dancing, and shopping.

Dana
Filatova (b 1983) and raised in Riga, Latvia. She graduated
from Riga Secondary School #34 and moved to Maryland in May 1999
with her family. Dana Graduated from Walter Johnson High School
(Bethesda, MD) in 2002 and is currently a student at Montgomery
College majoring in Business Administration. She is very grateful
for being able to take part in Macklin Business Institute program.
She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a vice president of the Dance
Association of Montgomery College. Her future academic plans include
transfer to the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University
of Maryland. Dana's hobbies include dance, fitness, and nutrition.
She anticipates getting her personal trainer certification by the
end of this year.

Manuela
Ginsburg (b. 1980): She was born and raised in Hamburg,
Germany. She came to the United States in 1999 as an Au Pair to
improve her English language skills, but while doing so, she met
her husband. Soon after, they decided to stay together and marry.
Shortly after, Manuela enrolled at Montgomery College in order to
attain a Bachelors degree in International Business because she
believes that education is the key to success. Manuela intends to
transfer to the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University
of Maryland at Shady Grove. She is also on the Dean's list and a
member of the Phi Theta Kappa national honor society. She enjoys
reading, playing tennis, traveling, and working out at the gym.

Lisa Ku (b 198X) Born in Maryland. Lisa attended Paint Branch High School and graduated in 2002. She is planning to study International Business. Lisa enjoys her studies at Montgomery College and encourages interested students to apply to the Macklin Business Institute.

Lai-Ki
Michelle Kung (b. 1984) immigrated to Maryland from Hong
Kong in 1992. Michelle graduated from Gaithersburg High School in
2002 as a Maryland Distinguished Scholar and a member of the National
Honors Society. In addition to being a Macklin Scholar, Michelle
is also a member of the Montgomery Scholars Program, a rigorous
learning community of interdisciplinary studies at Montgomery College.
As a Montgomery Scholar, Michelle studied abroad at the University
of Cambridge in England for four weeks during the summer of 2003.
She is currently the Public Relations Director for the Montgomery
Ambassador Association, which promotes the image and development
of Montgomery College both on and off campus. After her A.A. in
Business at Montgomery College, Michelle plans to transfer to the
Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College
Park to continue her studies and hopes to eventually earn a Master's
in Business Administration. Michelle's passions include listening
to music from a wide range of categories, learning foreign languages
and cultures, and traveling. When faced with difficulties, Michelle
believes that it is important to be like a tree that can never be
swayed by the wind.

Robin
Lindgren (b.1981) grew up in Stockholm, Sweden's Capitol.
She graduated from "Are hotel and management school", A swedish
High-School, in the summer of 2000. After working in the hotel management
business for a year she decided to go abroad for a year.Robin came
to the United States in 2000 to live here for one year to explore
her interest for the English language. After arriving in the U.S.,
she decided to apply for a student visa. Today, Robin is a successful
international student at Montgomery College pursuing a major in
International Business. She has been placed on the Dean's List for
recognition of academic achievement in her past semesters. After
graduating from the Macklin Business Institute at Montgomery College,
Robin intends to transfer to the Robert H. Smith Business School
of the University of Maryland, Shady Grove, and pursue a degree
in Marketing. Robin's long-term goal is to achieve a Masters in
Business Administration.

Adam
C. Lotinsky (b 1984) was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania
and moved to Gaithersburg in 1986. He went to a small private high
school called Covenant Life. He plans on transfer to the Smith School
of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park where he
aims to get his four year degree in business marketing. On top of
his involvement in the Macklin program, Adam is also a member of
the Montgomery College Scholars Program. His hobbies include working
on cars, paint-balling, indoor soccer, and working.

Jack
Masangu (b. 1983) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of
Congo. He earned his High School Diploma from the Belgium school
Les Loupiots in 2001. He is the oldest of eight children. Before
coming to the United States in August 2001, he had the chance during
his childhood to go on vacations with his family in Belgium, France,
Italy, Greece, Kenya, the Netherlands and South Africa. He fluently
speaks French, English, Swahili and Lingala (African dialect). His
Academic Honors include Dean's List, Dr. Harry Harden Jr., Black
& African American Academic Award and Phi Theta Kappa. He was one
of the two honors students selected by the Paul Peck Humanities
Institute for a 2003 summer internship at the Library of Congress
in the African & Middle Eastern Division. He proudly represented
MC by compiling a bibliography on the Political Economy of the DRC.
In addition, he has his own columns in the college newspaper, the
Montgomery Advocate: Business (Minding Your Business) and Sports
(The 3 Pointer). Plus, he is the President-Founder of the Francophone
Alliance (French Club). He hopes to transfer to a premier business
school and specialize in Finance/Economics and become a successful
banker. He plans to go back to the DRC and contribute to its development.

Ryan McGoff (b. 1983) is the oldest of six children and was born in Johnson City, New York. In 1989, his family moved to Silver Spring where he attended Washington Christian Academy from preschool up until eigth grade. Ryan attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. for high school. Currently, he is completing the Montgomery College Scholar's Program and the Macklin Business Institute. Ryan is also serving a one year term on the Montgomery College Board of Trustees. His hobbies include blues piano and golf.

Deoki Persaud (Lisa, b. 1983) in Guyana. She graduated from New Amsterdam Multilateral High School and then pursued a Diploma in Computer Studies. She moved to the United States in September of 2001 to further her education and enrolled at Montgomery College in spring of 2002, majoring in Business Administration. Lisa has made the dean's list, is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and recently received an award from the Dr. Harry Harding Jr. Black and African American Academic Award Program. After graduating with an AA from Montgomery College, she plans to transfer to City University of New York/Baruch College or The City University of New York/Queens College to pursue her Bachelor's Degree. Lisa is working hard to realize her professional dream of becoming a manager. She enjoys listening to music, traveling, meeting people, and watching television. She is grateful to the Macklin Business Institute founders for giving her this priceless opportunity.

Julia
Katharina Seebacher (b.1981) is originally from Southwestern
Germany; actually, she is one of those mystical people from the
Black Forest. After passing her Abitur, the German university entrance
exam, she decided to take one year off before starting her studies.
Due to her interest in other countries and cultures, she chose to
fulfill a long-held dream of hers and become an au pair in the USA
to experience the American Way of Life first-hand and to get a better
understanding of the country, its people, and its cultural variety
and diversity. When this one-year program concluded, she decided
to stay in the Washington area and to study International Business
here. At Montgomery College, she is on the Dean's List and member
of Phi Theta Kappa. After completing her year as a Macklin student,
Julia plans to transfer to the Smith School of Business at College
Park and to receive her Bachelor's Degree there. In her post-academic
future, she desires a career in an internationally operating corporation.
In her free time, Julia loves to run, TaeBo, bike, swim, read, and
cook. Furthermore, she volunteers as a mentor in the Washington
Job Partnership Project.

Natalie
Taylor (b. January 25, 1983) is an exemplary woman, bright
and conscientious, with tremendous potential for future success,
and with pressing financial needs at this time for herself and her
four-year-old son. As the youngest of her mother’s five children,
she grew up living in poverty and surrounded by people who had not
had educational opportunities available to them. As a high school
dropout and having lost two siblings to violence, her only outlet
became a mentor she met while pregnant. With the help of her mentor,
Ms. Taylor was able to finish high school with honors. Ms. Taylor
has been actively involved in community work and extracurricular
activities, worked at various jobs, and received a number of honors
and awards. She has also received awards and honors for her academic
work. Ms. Taylor has quickly become a class leader, a vibrant, intelligent
voice to which others listen, since her enrollment at the Montgomery
College, Takoma Park. Since attending Montgomery College, Ms. Taylor
has received awards based on her GPA and community service, including
from the Dr. Harry Hardin, Jr. Endowed Scholarship program and from
the Gregory Family Foundation Fellowship. Ms. Taylor also been accepted
to and is currently attending the Macklin Business Institute Honors
Program, a highly competitive second year honors business program,
the Macklin Institute. She was awarded a spot for the graduating
class of 2004, the only student from the Takoma Park campus to do
so. Ms. Taylor intends to transfer to a four-year university following
graduation, where she will continue her quest for an education and
better opportunities to help those around her as well as for her
son.

Anvar
Zhumagali Was born in 1984 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Attended
the Private School of Entrepreneurs in Almaty. Came to the United
States in the beginning of the year 2000. Graduated from Richard
Montgomery High School. At the moment, he enjoys being a Macklin
Scholar. Macklin Business Institute is a great program that gives
students so much valuable knowledge and priceless experience. Anvar
plans to transfer to the University of Maryland, College Park. His
Academic Honors include Dean's List, Asian American Academic Award
and Phi Theta Kappa.
