A powerful new video honors the remarkable lives and enduring legacy of Kimmy Duong and Dr. Long Nguyen—two individuals whose journey embodies the best of the American dream. Fleeing Vietnam in search of freedom and opportunity, they arrived in the United States with little more than hope and determination. Through hard work, perseverance, and a deep belief in the power of education, they built successful careers, created lasting opportunities for their family, and achieved extraordinary success. However, their greatest legacy may be what they chose to do next.

Guided by gratitude for the opportunities they found in their adopted homeland, Kimmy Duong and Dr. Long Nguyen have dedicated themselves to helping others pursue their own dreams. Through their philanthropic investments—including life-changing gifts totaling more than $36 million to colleges and universities—they have expanded access to education for thousands of students at Montgomery College, George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, the University of Maryland, and beyond.
